The Big Give Christmas Challenge
One Donation, Twice the Impact
On Giving Tuesday (December 3) we will be launching our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign.
For the duration of the one-week campaign, all donations to Ashinaga UK will be doubled by three generous supporters!
£10 will become £20; £100 becomes £200… and with Gift Aid you can add another 25% on top!
To donate, visit our Big Give campaign page between December 3 and 10.

About This Year’s Campaign
We’re raising funds for our leadership programme, which empowers Ashinaga Scholars in the UK with the skills and experiences they need to help develop the African continent.
Campaign Aims
A leadership training camp, gathering 27 Ashinaga Scholars into one place for 3 days of workshops, talks, and presentations. Sessions will be led by outside speakers (remote from Africa and in-person) and the Scholars themselves. Peer-bonding, skills training, and reconnecting with Africa.
27 Scholars attend relevant conferences focused on African development, important for their networking and proposal research.
16 Scholars take up career-relevant internships in African countries in 2025 and beyond.
Ultimately, Ashinaga Scholars in the UK gain the skills, experiences, and connections they need to help develop Africa in both the short and longer-term.
Your support can help fund internships in the African continent, such as this one at Crystal Water Solutions in Malawi.
About The Big Give Christmas Challenge
The Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest collaborative fundraising campaign, championing a wide range of charitable organisations.
It uses a Pledge Model to enable supporters to double donations during the campaign. See the video for information on how this model works.
Last year, £33 million was raised for more than 1,000 charities. Previously, we’ve raised over £9,000 through The Big Give… and this year we’re aiming to raise even more!
